During the 2025-2026 school year, the Henderson Kentucky Education Foundation, in conjunction with the Henderson Breakfast Lions Club and the Henderson Rotary Club, awarded grants ranging from $250 to $1,000 to classroom teachers for engaging learning projects for students. Twenty-seven grant applications were submitted and $10,000 was awarded between eleven projects. The projects included funding for science manipulatives, additional reading materials, a sensory pathway, science fair project supplies, math manipulatives, phonics manipulatives, early literacy and numeracy programs, a technology lab transformation, and parent engagement activities. The HKEF has applauded the teachers for engaging students in meaningful learning opportunities and reaching out to the Foundation for financial assistance to obtain needed materials and supplies.
