Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library

Inspiring a Love of Reading

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Foundation is dedicated to inspiring a love of reading by gifting books free of charge to children from birth to age five, through funding shared by Dolly Parton and local community partners in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia and Republic of Ireland. The Henderson Kentucky Education Foundation is the local affiliate for the Henderson Chapter and pays monthly shipping costs.  Recently, Kentucky became 100% participants in Imagination Library, meaning all 120 counties have a local affiliate and children throughout the state of Kentucky can have access to the program.  Henderson is very proud to have been the very FIRST chapter in Kentucky since the program began locally in 2002!

Please help support this wonderful early literacy program by donating to our local chapter. For only $30 you can cover the shipping cost for one child to receive a book in the mail each month for an entire year!

The Henderson Kentucky Education Foundation is pleased to announce its affiliation with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library!

The Dolly Parton Foundation provides free age-appropriate books and the Henderson Kentucky Education Foundation locally supports the program and pays shipping costs to local homes. There are currently close to 1,400 children in Henderson County participating in this early literacy program and our goal is to increase participants throughout the year! If you have an infant or toddler, please go to the website listed below to enroll them today!
